Loon now known as Amir Junaid Muuhadith

do you know him? no i didn't..my junior told me..if you know the song 'i need a girl' by usher..Loon was in that song too..he was also famous with P.Diddy..

when it was said that Loon will now start the event..he doesn't like that name anymore..why? because he is now a muslim..he revert 14 months ago alhamdulillah..and he perform Haj not long time ago..wink he was asked his journey from non-muslim to a muslim..

his home is in new york, living in a deprived area..he said he didn't know what islam is..he didn't even bother..in fact, he did encounter some muslims that didn't satisfy him cry days went by..then he got the chance to be involved in music industry producing songs..life gets better..from deprived into luxurious life..day time for work, night time is a night life..went to the club..get drunk and got home late at dawn..

that was his life..it continued until he found nothing but emptiness in his life..he enjoyed his career but he realised that he missed something unknown...he told us that being an artist and famous does not mean that he could get anything at a blink of an eye..just like we saw on tv! no! he got oppressed, he was not happy and life was hard..

since he was a song producer, he travelled quite to a number of countries which include Saudi Arabia (i forgot which part he went)..he stayed in 'a 12stars' hotel.*luxurios brabis th tu* the window facing the beach:astig: and of course he could see the sun set from his room..that would bring peace in mind, wouldn't it? while staying in that country, he went for a walk. it was asr time and on that time (like in brunei, people are here and there, jalan pun te-jam) but! it was empty eek he questioned it and he was lucky that someone told him that it was a prayer time and people were performing their prayer and thus it was empty. he got confused but he was thinking~
in another day..at night, he was looking for a place to have his night life..but the street he was standing was empty..silence~ he was like ":ha?:" then he asked someone who passed by..and said: at this time around, people are asleep and mostly 'enjoy' their night for proximity with Allah..

he went back to his room with questions in mind..the next morning, as the sun rise, facing the wonderful scenery..he began to feel something inside..he was looking at the sun, the trees, the coastline..the sky, a 'live' picture that made he thinks of a creator..soon after that, he went down to the lobby, it was still early in the morning, even the people at the counter were not in yet! he was looking for anyone and fortunately he found one. he came running to that person and says: i want to be islam. the person was kinda 'shocked!' he said it again and finally that person said: okay, calm down..repeat after me..asyhadu ala ilahaillallah wa asyhadu anna muhammadarasulullah..brother, you're now a muslim.
loon: that's it? nothing else?
the person: yes

the loon went back to his room..feeling 'refreshed' having the feeling he never felt before and the emptiness he had has now filled..

what happened next? he stopped working with P.Diddy..his relationship with his parents is getting better..he practice islam day by day, reminding his muslim friend to say salam when meeting rather than 'hey yo wat's up!'

then he said..he was jealous for those who was born a muslim but he understands that Allah only chooses who He wants to be on His path..but he was sad to see people who born a muslim seems not to care much of the religion..and he said: if you don't want your religion, i wish i can take your Islam to give it to my mother, i wish i can take your islam to be given to my sisters and brothers..:tsk:

in hall the event was held..served with a 3-course meal dinner..entertained with nasyids with no background song..singing to praise Allah..bringing a feeling that only Allah knows..seeing people of the same religion under one roof....a grand finale by Amir Junaid Muuhadith ended the Islam Awareness Week in Hull, 2010,

Day 4: modesty unveiled-the right to choose

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim..
please refer to surah annur (24:30-31) it is the verses that explain about lowering your gaze for men and women..

the talk was by Rehanna Sadiq

reading at the title..yes..it is about the aurat..brothers out there..you are not excluded to read this post..if you have sisters, share it to them because a brother has his responsibilities towards his female siblings and his mother..

'the right to choose' IS related to what Allah has stated in the Quran..and He knows what is best for His servant..women are asked to cover to protect ourselves (eg:sexually harassed, fitnah, imagined by someone's husband that makes him :hilo:etc etc). so if one covers, it will insyaAllah protect the other sisters..in what way? cani..imagine lah..supermodels on tv, artists..aren't they pretty my brothers? your eyes won't even blink just to see what you want to see..just imagine if one of the brother imagined us in a way he want it to be..i mean like those on tv..imagine the desire that comes after that..okay enough..exclaimanother example..if women do not cover..'everything' can be seen..as if you 'are free of charge' thing..can be taken for granted and of course free things can be transferred into anything..like...'eh bini2 ah..cuba kamu liat..lain tu usulnya..rambutnya cali tu padahal nda cali pun..' in the end jadi bahan ejekan..all these things happen kan..?and i guarantee there are other related stories ..

so if you are covered..insyaAllah this will not happen..but..the covered do become victims because of those who do not covered..why? man has desire..if they want something and they did not get it..anyone who passes by in front of them will be his victim..na'udzubillah..sal atu tah modesty ani penting..kalau tani cover, we're helping the others jua insyaAllah..for my brothers out there..i apologize if it sounds harsh..but, to be frank, it's not just the 'brother's' fault but actually the sisters are also to be blamedconfused

(17:32) "..don't come near to zina.." but having life partner stables the community insyaAllah..

the speaker has also mentioned about women in the society..are they not allowed to go out? are they only allowed to stay at home..she said:we still need to lower our gaze, speak not in a seducing tone..if women have to, women do need to talk to men face to face..but that's all..with no other evil feelings..

as an example: Fatimah Azzahra do stand next to his father, prophet Muhammad when he was trying to spread Islam..hence, she sees men..saiditina Aisyah r.a do lead a group of men to fight when there was an argument between Aisyah r.a and Sayyidina Ali after the death of Sayyidian Uthman, the 3rd Caliph Ar-Rasyidin

the speaker did say about her teenage experience..she rebelled, didn't wear jilbab..it took her a long time to understand why her mom didn't allow her to wear nice dress and showed her hair to people..but in the end, she understands the concept..she understands the reason behind it..therefore, she is wearing it till now..

besides..women who covered show the identity if Islam..people who see, will insyaAllah greet with salam..alhamdulillah..the best greeting of all..a du'a with meanings for our own good..

Day 3: From Adam to Muhammad, bitesize Islam

By Imam Aqil Awan
Bismillahirrahmanirrahim..i forgot to tell you something..right before they started the event, they will start with some verses from the Quran that relates to the topic of the day..in Day 2, they started with a surah telling about Habil&Qabil, the first war in mankind.

Day 3, they started with the verses from Al-Baqarah which says about the existence of human. From Adam to Muhammad, people were born, people were destroyed..and do you notice that what had happened before is 'refresh' *like the refresh button* today?

but one should remember that, everything that happened and will happen has been written in the Luhil Mahfudz, the guarded tablet. dulu, i always think it's just about the human that is written in the Luhil Mahfudz..for example: when i exist, when i will die, things that will happen to me, whom am i married to, when? my course, my family, my friends..BUT i never thought that the Quran is also prepared by Allah from the beginning..and it comes down verse by verse to Prophet Muhammad after something has happened..masyaAllah..ertinya, memang Allah tetapkan dah apa yang akan jadi, sudah tertulis dan dengan izin Allah, Allah saja yang dapat turunkan any of His verses as He wish as guidance and reminder to mankind..

what is being said in Taurat, Injil and Dzabur are extracts from Luhil Mahfudz, the source is from Luhil Mahfudz and the author is of course Allah Ta'ala..3 kitab ani, hanya sedikit dari apa yang Allah tulis, tapi Al-Quran tah yang sum up those 3 kitab..hence: 'access to Luhil Mahfudz'..tapi apa tani buat dengan quran? jawab lah sendiri...

that is why the 3 kitab atu alum brapa complete, and people do refer from those 3..and endingnya gantung-gantung masih..wallahu'alam..it's like a movie yang endingnya inda memuaskan hati then people start to comment and assume what is it going to happen..they want to end this and that way..and then comes the sequel..totally different from expected..of course some will be satisfied and some will not..then ada sequel lagi..then another then another..banyak jua eh..cam harry potter..or star wars? :ahaha: tapi yatahkan..we want want more and more until conclusion of the story atu nda clear and boreng..tapi, 3 kitab atu walaupun extracts, they were the truth before it was changed, but the Quran explains the conclusion but still we don't refer to this 'one and only book'

other than saying about human, i will also include a story about the non-living that also worship Allah and believes in Him..the story goes like this *in malay*:

masa zaman nabi, nabi selalunya duduk rah kayu balak ani masa kan berkhutbah..tapi lama kelamaan, dari kayu balak berubah menjadi mimbar..(it's like dari rumah kayu lama-lama, once mampu jadi rumah batu) sekali masa nabi kan stat berkhutbah rah mimbar, nabi tedangar ada bunyi menangis, para sahabat pun tedangar..sekali cari punya cari, bunyi atu comes from kayu balak yang bakas nabi duduk dulu..dengan kuasa Allah, nabi buleh berkata dengan kayu balak atu..nabi pun tanyalah napa ia nangis..kayu balak jawap: ia sedih rasulullah inda lagi duduk rahnya sal ia tau nabi atu manusia yang mulia disisi Allah and masa nabi duduk rah kayu atu kira 'a pleasure' lah kan..(cam urang kaya yang datang rumah tani, iski jua tani, bukannya apa, kn minta usin..coolhehe nadawah..but you get what i mean kn? or bestfriend yang batah berabis inda jumpa tiba-tiba datang ke rumah tani, of courselah tani iski kan..tani layan ia berabis, lanja makan, suruh tidur dibilik tani, tani tidur di ruang tamu hehe) kayu balak nangis sal atu lah,,so nabi pun cakaplah rah kayu atu :canilah..ko mo stay as kayu balak sini ataupun jadi one of the tree trunk in the heaven? masa kayu dengar catu, happy lah ia mrgreen..then branti tia nangis..syurga bah..sapa jua nda mau..

anyway..the 3 kitab indicated the existence the of Muhammad..tapi kan..kalau tani baca saja monotonously, nada feel kan jadinya..?cam baca textbook or journals..semata-mata untuk buat assignments saja..sal atu lah when you do everything to please Allah, proximity to Allah with understanding, insyaAllah will be given the 'flavour' (kemanisan iman)

Iman Aqil did not agree of the title 'bitesize'.. it will be bitesize if we didn't get the flavour, macam nada saja..macam adam to muhammad hanya sekadar nabi, sunnah nabi hanya sekadar apa yang nabi buat..islam atu hanya sebagai nama..quran atu hanya sebagai kitab yang menjadi hiasan dibilik, tersimpan rapi di dalam almari..ayat-ayat quran hanya sebagai ayat-ayat pendinding dari gangguan hantu/jin evil (sma sjanya..syaitan lah tu ertinya) hanya dibaca bila perlu..doa khas untuk doa selamat, semasa urang sakit, kan meninggal, ada hajat, kan belayar..tapi sebenarnya bukan setakat atu..what the prophets had done is not only for that season and non-applicable in this season..nda..salah tu...sebab atu tah 'bitesize' ani timbul..disebabkan manusia atu sendiri yang menjadikan ia terlalu kecil dipandangan mata..astaghfirullahal 'adzim

wallahu 'alam

Day 2: God's War-Jihad, Who calls the shot

Assalamua'laikum
sorry for the gap posting about this..insyaAllah i will try to post everything tonight, otherwise, you'l just have to wait..i think, i'm gonna mix my language here...i mean english&malay..no other languages okayy..hehe

this talk was by Imam Irfan Faizi Al-Azhari
it was hard for me to grab the meaning of jihad at the beginning but alhamdulillah after explaning it to my other friends, it does make sense to me..when people heard the word jihad, most people will automatically think of extrimist, war :sobrakana:, killing, a duty and it is not their fault as the Imam said, if people check for its meaning on the internet, that will what they find in the definition but the word jihad actually means STRIVES or to STRUGGLE. Allah sent the Quran in Arabic and some of the Surahs start with arabic letters for example: Alif Lam Miim, Nun, Alif Lam Ra, Alif Lam Mim Sad, Tho Sin Mim..only Allah knows what it means and every letter if we read, will insyaAllah give us the barakah..

okay, what am i trying to say here..the word jihad in arabic consist of Jim Ha Dal..Allah has reasons to make it spells that way, and why the 3-letter shape that way together..everything in the Quran is not just letters, but the shape actually means something that suits the word masyaAllah..the word Jihad appears 4 times in the Quran and only twice Allah commands to Propehet Muhammad S.A.W.

now, what is the importance of jihad?
the purpose is by referring to this ayat "Illahu Kalimatillah" which means Word of God being raised. Illahu also means Aloof and in other way saying that the importance of jihad is to combat, the name of Islam is raised and Seen in the aftermath. So if in terms of war, the ending must raised the name of Islam..faham..? cani..aku bagi analogy lah..kalau dalam decision making, others views should be consider kn? sekiranya, the verdict made was bias, only because the one who suggested was his bestfriend or someone from his family or because he was threatened to pick his suggestion or he chose that decision just for his own sake..what do you think will happen?
1. others will be unsatisfied
2. arguments arised
3. small riot perhaps
4. nda datang kraja
5. fitnah here and there
6. dendam
7. marah yang nda habis-habis
8. i'll make you think

so what will be the end result? not good right? yatah yang ku cuba explain tu..employees kelayi, nama syarikat pun bottom list tarus..catu jua dengan jihad, kalau urang cakap kan berperang kerana Allah tapi end resultnya meruntuhkan nama islam atu, bukan tah jihad tu namanya..

i give you some example lah..masa zaman nabi dulu, ada perang badar, uhud, khandaq, tabuk *sila sambung the list hehe* some of the wars ani terjadi disebabkan orang-orang kafir berlaku zalim arah orang islam..kan tani kana suruh berperang kalau durang mulakan..nda ja..?tapi, the aftermath of the war are:
1.sistem perhambaan dihapuskan
2.martabat wanita dinaikkan
3.erase oppression, discrimination, not just among the believers but also to the non-believers
....
hence, people SEE what Islam has done for them..the war was not something that 'ruin' their lives BUT save them from slavery and cruelty..alhamdulillah..

Jihad is the struggle to maintain the word of Allah, word from Allah ani yang dari Quran and hadith-hadith nabi..sal apa yang nabi dapat datangnya dari Allah..apa yang nabi buat pun dengan izin Allah..jihad does not only means berperang as in 'battlefield' NO! it also means how you try to make Islam stands at its highest..how we are willing to support nama Islam ani.not just commencing it on your identity card but also commencing it as your way of life..how you behave? is it according to Islam..?how to show that Islam is really really beautiful by looking at you..sometimes the non-believers act nicer than as, they are not rude, they apologise easily, they don't judge, they don't curse, if they curse, they say sorry immediately *just like my colleagues did to me* but that's them, it's nothing for them to say those words..but comparing it to us??? eek

anyway..so what can you see the way people do Jihad now? i know you can give some answers..i know it is sad..but it is due to lack of understanding and yes, media influence..we tend to believe everything what the media is telling us..and correct me if i'm wrong, when people heard the word jihad, it made them uncomfortable and want to move on to another topic...when i first read the title for this Day 2, i didn't want to attend it actually..but, it would be such a big loss if i didn't coz i wouldn't understand what it meant other than war.

the Imam told us that it is important to understand Islam and to be able to explain it to our future generations so that they will not misunderstood and being clueless about it..
before i end this, i end up with how the Imam ended the session.

"if you are pointing you finger, 3 fingers are pointing towards you" try it! at the beginning i didn't get the meaning..if you start doing something they are still bigger responsibilities ahead of you from that action..if you say something, make sure it is acceptable coz people will be pointing on you if you're wrong..1finger VS 3 finger..you can be on your own when others are against you..if what you do is according to the Quran and Sunnah, insyaAllah the 1 VS 3 is nothing but victory in the hereafter..:woooh:

one more thing!!!

" Baginda berkata, "Peperangan melawan hawa nafsu." (Riwayat Al Baihaqi)

day 1

errmm assalamua'laikum..got not respond, i did but informally..well, with or without respond, i'm still gonna post about it anyway cool

ok, day 1 of islam awareness week in hull was about '1 God 3 Faith'. the talk was done by Imam Mahboub and a reverend. i'll try to say what i got from both of them. since the talk was first started by the reverand, so here it is what he said:

christian- they believe in 1 god and Abraham is the start of mankind.
- they believe that Abrahan is the father of the prophet
- trinity starts from Abraham

the Imam talked about:
- people around the world have multifaith but what is common from all the faiths is believing in 1 God. this is what people should focused on.
- he mentioned about the verse in surah al-Baqarah (130-138) about the creation of mankind and the responds made by the angels and the syaitan.
- Allah has mention in the quran in surah Az-zaariyat that the purpose of creating Jin and Human is nothing but to worship Allah.

is religion important he questioned.
well, God create Mankind and He does not say in the quran that He create just the believers. Allah create us without sin but parents are responsible of what religion the children need to believe: Jew or Christian. in islam, we are created as an islam from the beginning and it is all stated in Luhil Mahfuz, the Guarded Tablet.

Human are different from other creations in terms of the freedom of choice. Allah create us, then it is up for us to believe what we learned, what we see. choosing the right path or otherwise. but, as mentioned above, we are created just to worship Allah but people still go astray; enjoying life not according to Islam, we like to build up our sins, we ignore His rules like nothing where in the end He is the one we will meet.

Allah did not create us like the Angels who have always been worshiping Him 24/7. if so, there will be no point of the judgement day if all people are 'saint'.

there were questions asked by the audience and both of them had given their answers.

A question was asked by the audience about the disasters that had/have been happening. Why does it happened if the Muslim believe that Allah is Merciful. is He being fair to mankind.

reverend: he said that when the disaster happened, god is also there with them who suffer. and looking at the aftermath, people of all nation give their hands to help and this portrayed their love for the unfortunate.

imam: life is a test. life has ups and downs. people tend to be happy when their life have been a success but when a crisis interrupts, how do they respond? sad? cursing? :galit:suicide??
this is my analogy by the way. think our life as a see-saw. X sits on one side and ";})();ButtonMouseDown(this);'>Y sits on the other side. depending on their weight, both sitting on the edge will not balance the see-saw. one is up and one is down. X and Y have to try to sit on different length in order for it to balance. it needs effort and patience, so do our lives. it needs effort and patience to be balance. without those 2 mentioned, do you think it is worth living? living without challenge and adventure? how will we improve our patience and determination..if life is all the way easy, one day you are struck by a small test, imagine how you would react..over-stressed as if life has come to end :ayokona:. but when it happened, god wants to see if you are being acceptable and grateful of the test. how deep is our faith to god who knows us well. Allah want you to acknowledge His existence, can you see it for both condition? test by test given as a warning to be back on path but ignorance pursue and there goes all the test..flying away..living us as the true loser sad

if we believe that this life on earth is for the sake of Allah, then every test will bring no tears of despair but tears of fully submission to the one and only. that is what religion is. to believe in god.

wallahu 'alam bissawab. apa yang baik datang dari Allah, yang buruk itu datang dari diri saya sendiri. do leave comments if any of you feel uncomfortable with this. and i do apologize.

post for today

assalamua'laikum
"with every action we start with the name of God, the most gracious, the most merciful"

emm..somehow, it really 'hit' me when the brother start his saying with the statement above..we normally say Bismillahirrahmanirrahim..but that's the meaning actually..

anyway..today's post would be a story about when the Islam Awareness Week commenced last week here in hull..i was really glad to know about the event since i was not at the uni for so long accept for handing my portfolio..then i started advertising it on facebook :woooh: i heard some people couldn't wait for it, some just ignored it and some find it :ha?: eek exclaim does the event sounded too over for the muslim to create an event that way? for me, by acknowledging the event, it was such a huge opportunity not to attend..i know i have a limited knowledge about islam eventhough i was born a muslim..but there are still a lot to explore..just think of it this way..
when a non-muslim ask questions about why, how, when, what islam this and that, can you answer them in a way that they understand and didn't feel bias? if people question, they have the right to know the answers..what if the person who is asking really really have the interest in islam that he/she ask you something but you kept quite, hesitant and unsure of what you are going to say..o brothers and sisters..it will be such a great loss rolleyes BUTexclaim things happen for a reason, when you know you lack the knowledge, seek for that knowledge and insyaAllah you are able to give explanation to others..hey~ if we call ourselves a muslim, make others see who are the muslims..coz anything we do, people will judge, if what they see is nice, they will question and their curiosity grows and likewise..

anyway, what am i trying to say actually..:scream: ancur essay ku points here and there..ish ish islam awareness week..i have written above how some people responded to it..but what actually is the content of the events? do they know? do you know? do you want to know question i need answers!!!

arrow i just don't want to monopolized this blog, it's nseven not mine razz
