Sarcasmism (extended version)

I was going to post this in my "secret blog" but I figure why not just put it here (Note: I don't really like to post about personal stuff @ fitrishah.com).

One of my new year resolution and apparently Kim's favorite was to be a nicer person. Which for me is a very hard thing to do. To be specific, it's to rip off sarcasm from my persona. I would like to share a quoted remarks that could be useful in helping me take this step in life-
"Sarcasm makes true heart-to-heart communication impossible. If you are accustomed to using sarcasm, you may think that conversation would be boring without it. If so, you are wrong. Removing sarcasm from your communication is like removing weeds from a garden. It allows other, better, things to grow, but only if you plant them. Replace sarcasm with optimism, compliments, and expressions of love"

To tell you the truth, i actually tried to tone down my sarcasm, but it seems that lowering the level of sarcasm is not enough especially when I have a fragile heart to take care of. so here goes. my oath.

I, Fitri, will banish sarcasm from my mind, spirit and soul. well, from my speech lah at least.

Now that might not seems like a big deal. I once told somebody the reason why I am sarcastic, which by now I figured foolish. Nevertheless, there is more to sarcasm than just the simplest level of wit. Sarcasm played an important role in my life, It leads me to where I am now in life and even in the relationship I'm having in which I'm really grateful for but now I have to backstab sarcasm for the good of us all.
have a nice day :)
